Arvin Home Systems began in 1976 when Arvin Reed started installing central vacuum systems in homes throughout the Stockton and Modesto areas. What started as a one-man operation quickly gained a reputation for quality work, fair pricing, and honest service.
As demand grew, so did the business. Arvin expanded into whole-house audio, intercoms, and eventually alarm systems—earning his security license in 1988. His sons Joe, Nathan, and Jim joined the company over the years, helping transform Arvin Home Systems into a trusted name for low-voltage technology across Northern California.
By the 1990s and early 2000s, the company was wiring and pre-plumbing homes for security, audio, and central vacuum systems in new developments across the Central Valley. Builders relied on Arvin’s team to future-proof their homes, while homeowners appreciated the affordable, custom-fit upgrades.
In 1999, the company officially incorporated as Arvin Home Systems, Inc. and expanded operations from its Manteca headquarters. Arvin’s brother-in-law, Matt Rough, also joined the leadership team, helping manage growth and new client relationships.
Today, we continue to evolve—offering smartphone-connected alarm systems, app-controlled audio, and seamless home integration. But our mission hasn’t changed: combine the latest technology with the personalized service only a family-run business can deliver.
